Cyberdawn came bounding from the skyscrapers, her brother happily trailing after her. Mechapaw had come a long way; he could do everything a warrior could and oh so much more. Daisychain ran laggedly behind them, hardly running but trotting. Her head was hung aswell, long-haired pelt mottled and ragged. Her two children did well only because Daisychain demanded anything she was given to be gave to them. She was so old, and StarClan whispered to her already. They needed to be nourished.
She would sigh, head would then tilt up and brighten a bit as her leader, Whitewing, and Depthgaze would come into her view. Daisychain could sigh, and did. She should be eating but she couldn't. Daisychain would then frown, dropping where she had stood, and would watch Cyberdawn and Mechapaw leap up to Windstar and nod.

Shadowpaw wandered in his paws sore and dropped. "Where are we and why aren't we at camp. We can fight anything." He said looking at all the older cats. 'This is a fine way to start my apprenticeship,' he thought sourly.

Rainstorm walked into LedgeClan's makeshift camp. He dropped two pigeons on an empty spot where the fresh kill pile was supposed to be. He tried to keep his head high as he padded up next to Willowstar. He nodded politely to the cats around her. "Hello Windstar. I went out hunting earlier this morning, would you like me to go again, or do you have something else for me to do?" Although Rainstorm's whole body ached, and his physical appearence was going downhill, somewhere bottled up energy was ready to burst free. He was tired of day-to-day survival, he wanted an adventure.

Depthgaze sneaked away from his leader's den just before she came out. He ran towards a hole in the middle of the roof and jumped down into it, falling into the attics. The warriors and apprentices slept here, and it contained the nursery and the elder's den. Nice and warm down here, too. Against Depthgaze's will, his legs crumpled, and his eyes closed, sending him into a half-unconcious sleep.

I smiled at Rainstorm, laughing good humoredly. "Rainstorm don't be silly. You need to rest; nice catch, too." I turned my head to see my mother laying down on the roof and I frowned. She was definately moving to the elder's den. I bounded up to her, shouldering her up against her protests of, "Cyberdawn, stop. I'm fine." She wasn't fine. I ran my tongue over her ears, urging her on.
I smiled, ears flicking to pick up Shadowpaw's voice. Blind or not, I knew he was behind me. I turned from Windstar with another polite nod and padded over to him. "Shadowpaw, this is the best we have. Since the rogues chased us away, I suppose things could be worse, like no food at all and no shelter." Sometimes I don't like to be so optimistic, but when someone's there, I have to think of myself and how things could be worse. I could be dead...

Brightmoon nodded her thanks. Her eyes blaze with respect. She meowed, "Can I call upon the clan about this and I can ask some warriors to come with me??" She stared through Windstar's eyes.
((I ran out of my mind!!))

" No." Windstar said firmly. " I know you think we have a cure, but I don't want anybody told until we are completely sure." She explained. " I don't want to get their hopes up. Just tell the cats who go with you."

"All right." Brightmoon meowed without any protests. Her whiskers twiched with senses inside her mind, Windstar is a wise leader. Hmm. She soon spotted Whitewing and Depthgaze. She called to them, "Depthgaze and Whitewing, come here! I need to speak with you!!" Her tail swayed with ease.

Whitewing opened a sleepy eye. "Mmph." He blinked away the tiredness and stood slowly, stretching his legs. Without hurry, he made his way to Brightmoon and yawned as he sat. "What is it that you want?" His voice was harsh but not angry.

Depthgaze stood up, shaking sleep away. "What?" he said grumpily. He sat down and groomed a leg with long, slow licks while he waited for an answer. He didn't care that he sounded grumpy. He WAS grumpy, and stiff and tired and angry, for good reason.

Whitewing looked up at his beconer and with a hearty yawn he tucked his nose back into the soft white fur of his tail. Within a few seconds, he dozed off uncaringly.

Brightmoon meowed gently, knowing that those two toms needs some rest and treatments but she knows that she must ask them very important, "Depthgaze, Whitewing, do you ever noticed some warriors are strong enough?" Her eyes sparkled with curious.

Whitewing was already in a deep sleep brought on by excessive fatigue. "Mmm." He spoke subconciously, too busy in his dream to care what happened in the real world.

" Whitewing, Depthgaze, listen to her, or answer to me." Windstar ordered calmly, as she padded over to Rainstorm. " If you want to keep hunting, by all means do. But please don't exhaust yourself." Wearily, Windstar headed back to her shadowy corner, brooding upon her Medicine Cats news.

Whitewing jumped at his leader's voice. He stood quickly and blinked sleepily before appologizing, "I'm sorry, Windstar." He jabbed a firm paw into Depthgaze's side, trying to prod him to follow. "Come on, Depthgaze. At least we haven't caught the illness that's sweeping the camp yet. LedgeClan needs us."
