Iceheart picked some herbs and heard a noise. Her ears pricked. She heard a small scratching noise and a squeak. She relaxed and felt the fur on her shoulders lie flat. Iceheart continued to pick herbs and scented another herb and padded over to pick it.

A black figure stood unnoticably in the shadows. The dark mass silently padded to another bush to get a better glimpse of the Medicine Cat. So alone, aren't we? Why have you come by yourself little one? Zarrin thought to himself as he peered over the dying fronds of the bush at the FireClan cat. His eyes glowed with interest as the warrior continued her work.

((Big picture!!! ;D))
Iceheart picked up another scent, a scent she never knew. She looked around, but saw nothing. Iceheart picked her herbs catiously. She felt as if she was being watched. It's nothing, Iceheart thought, though she knew it was nothing. Her heart pounded as she picked the herbs until, finally, she meowed. "Who's there?"

(( ;D I know! lol))
Zarrin rocked on his haunches with anticipation. He'd been spotted, but that was of no consequence to him as he planned his next move. With lightning speed, he lept from the bushes aiming right for the Medicine Cat's back. It was a perfect shot, and he knew that she'd have only little time to get out of the way.

Iceheart turned and saw Zarrin headed straight for her. She tried to dodge but was too late. Zarrin's claws hit Iceheart's back and she felt blood dripping from her pelt. Iceheart quickly unsheathed her claws and slashed Zarrin's face, hatred in her eyes.

Instead of swivelling underneath her unsheathed claws, Zarrin swung with a hefty paw at her attack, claws unsheathed so they'd sink into the inside of her forearm. A nasty trick it was; painful and damaging. With his other paw Zarrin flung dust towards Iceheart's face. He smiled at his dirty fighting. It had been too long since the rogue had had this much fun...

Iceheart sneezed at the dust. She gave a small shriek of terror as Zarrin clawed her. Blood dripped from her as she panted heavily. He's too fast, Iceheart thought. I've got to fight back, but he's too quick! Iceheart glanced around her. Deathberries, yarrow, juniper berries, she thought. Deathberries! Have they always grown here? They might be useful right about now. Iceheart quickly picked a few of the berries. He probably knows about them. She picked them by their stems, careful not to touch the berries. She ran as fast as she could to him and her claws extended and clawed his back leg. She had to knock him down. If she didn't, she would die.

The bloodthirsty rogue hissed as he felt the she-cat's claws sink into his back leg. He lifted his leg and stomped down aiming for her paws, and at the same time he spun and swatted at her face. However, he didn't see that she had grabbed a branch of deathberries...

((Sure, if Willow agrees, too ;D))
Iceheart quickly ducked and dodged the attack. She crammed the berries into his mouth. She jumped back, nearly fainting.

((Yep!))
Zarrin quickly spat them out and shook his head violently. He grimaced and spat again. Deathberries, he thought to himself. The rogue turned and raced out of the clearing into the forest towards the CreekClan border. He needed water fast or else he'd be gone before the sun set, and the only known water source was the great lake.

Blacknight walked quietly in from the shadows behind Iceheart. "You put up with quite a battle for a medicine cat," he meowed from behind her. "Those Deathberries were a tricky idea... I wonder how you came up with that." He was hoping that she would let him go and let him run after Zarrin, but that was probally not going to happen. The clan cat would probally try to shove deathberries in his mouth too.

When Zarrin approached the lake, his vision was already going foggy and his head spun violently. He raced to the water and lapped up a mouthful of water and spat it back out, trying to rid his body of the toxin. After several mouthfuls of water, he sat on the shore with his eyes tightly shut for a few moments before opening them back up and shaking his head. Smart little kitty. She's done it in for herself now; there's no way she'll be gloating her victory for long. Sinister thoughts invaded his mind as he began plotting his next move. The rogue turned away from the lake, back toward the FireClan territory...

Blacknight's nosed lifted to the air. Zarrin was coming back. His scent was almost overwelming. "You know you didn't scare off that other rouge with your little deathberries," he babied Iceheart. "He is coming back from the great lake. That rouge is smarter than you think." And I am smarter than you think, Blacknight thought to himself.

Iceheart coughed. Her white pelt was smeared with blood and she felt as if she was half dead. "I know he is," she meowed, "and he'll come back to kill me." She looked at the tom. "You had better get away before he kills you, too."
