Whitewing flicked his tail; his cheeks warmed underneath his white fur. He admitted that he was proud of his catches, but he was not the type of cat who greedily took credit for everything. No, he wasn't that arrogant. Without making a big fuss, the warrior attempted to make eye contact with the leader. It was a great catch, and he wanted Windstar to know that he was doing whatever was possible for the survival of the clan. LedgeClan cats had been looking a bit frail lately, and his worries kept getting stronger as the temperatures remained frigid. The last thing Whitewing wanted to see was a cat dying of starvation...

Jadestone dipped her head in submission. "Yes, Windstar, Summerclaw," she meowed. The big warrior padded over to the Medicine-cat, deliberately restraining herself from clearing her throat. She didn't think she had whitecouch or greencough, and it was best to be on the safe side, but she didn't want to put more worries on Summerclaw's shoulders.

With a small, almost unoticable shudder, the LedgeClan leader jerked her mind back to the present and instantly met Whitewing's gaze. The relief that Warriors were bringing in prey reassured her greatly, and she smiled warmly at her Clanmate. ((Argh, brain dead, can't add anything else right now, ))

Summerclaw nodded her head to Jadestone, "I have some dried tansy petals, for starters," she turned and flicked her tail, motioning for Jadestone to follow as she lightly padded towards the medicine den, "If that doesn't help, then you'll need to take a day to rest, and maybe take some catmint." she purred, catmint was more of a treat compared to the dried, bitter petals that she would give to the big warrior, but she wanted to save as much of the catmint as she could, as most kits refused to take bitter herbs.

Jadestone padded after her, the crisp air slightly dampening the rich, herbal smell of Summerclaw's den. She crouched down and nibbled at the petals, blinking at the bitter taste. "I think the petals will be fine, save the catmint," She meowed. "This only just started a day or so ago..." She continued to eat the petals, ears flattened as she finally finished them off and swept her tongue around her mouth. "Thank you," She purred.

A small orange and brown tabby apprentice raced in through the camp entrance, a small mouse dangling from her jaws. Joy gleamed in her eyes as she pranced proudly over to Summerclaw and dropped her kill. The tiny leaf-bare sized mouse was hardly enough for more than a few mouthfuls, but the new apprentice looked as proud as a cat who'd caught a crow from midair.
"I caught this, Summerclaw!" Briarpaw mewed brightly. "My first catch!"

Whitewing's neckfur bristled as Briarpaw seemed to burst out of nowhere. He grinned at the apprentice - true, the mouse was tiny, but it was still something. "Well done, Briarpaw!" He called out, giving her a warm smile. The white tom sighed as he watched her mewing happily at Summerclaw. The new apprentice always seemed to have boundless amounts of energy.
