Lithe and slender form turned, and cast a gaze towards seemingly nowhere. But the tom saw, creeping out from the brush near the stream and into the woods. The she-cat sneered into the growing dusk, and sat up after her long hours of crouching and waiting for her leader. "So, did you see it?" the she-cat murmured inquiringly. "Yes, it's catching prey. How darling... especially when they know thier forest will be ours. Pity.." The tom growled in reply. "Are you sure it has NO clue about our plot?" Again, the she-cat questioned the tom with disbeleif. " It's totally oblivious." The tom's deep voice came again, remaining calm and unwavering. The tom stretched, violet orbs glimmered malevolently. The pure golden orbs of the she-cat lingered on the other cat near the bank of the river, just a few fox-lengths from thier solitude. "They will pay for what they did.." she she-cat hissed, her neck-fur extending as her voice rose. The tom silenced her with a flick of his tail over her jaws. "Hush youself, or you will pay." the tom threatened, his claws and tone supporting the threat. With this the tom crept away into the gloomy darkness and the she-cat bounded after him. Tribute to Smoulder, and my first post on the new board!

Snakestar watched the two NightClan cats leave his forest, filled with rage. These cats had killed several of his cats, and not only that, they had taken his cats' lives to be their own! That was an evil worse than murder! The silver tabby tom's muscles tensed, but he restrained himself from leaping... barely. Not leaping and backing away was perhaps the hardest thing that the leader had ever done, but he did so, loping away angrily. His cats could not afford to lose their leader, not with their deputy gone.
But who would he choose? None of the cats in his Clan seemed right... Any of the ones he would have picked had been killed.

((ooc: I will introduce my charrie here. Perhaps we should say that she has been a member all along))
A long furred she-cat poked her head out of the brambles. She had seen everything. Why were these cats engaged in such a mortifying cause, and why had they chosen CreekClan to pick off one by one? It made no sense. The sleek warrior flicked her ears towards the shadows and felt the ground to find that another cat was in her presence. She knew it was her fearless and courageous leader, Snakestar, she had no doubt. "Good evening Snakestar." she mewed carefully. Willowclaw had no intention of drawing the assassins back.

Abyssheart stopped, and twin peaks flicked back gentley to hear the words spoken by the new cat she had sensed. Lifting paw-by-paw she trod a few fox-lengths from the pair and stealthily scaled a tree. Tail hung limply from the branch as claws sunk into the rotting bark. Abyssheart had to be careful, and react quick if the branch threatened to fall.

Willowclaw felt uneasy for some reason, as if the spirits of evil still lingered among the forest. She padded near the place she thought her leader was standing, and whispered gently, "Snakestar, I feel presence of another creature. I cannot tell if it is heavenly or if a live, breathing cat stand among us."
((ooc: May I discover you, Abyssheart? Perhaps a battle shall ensue...))

Snakestar tensed. "Could this cat be a NightClanner?" He paced back and forth, snarling quietly, his slitted green orbs glittering.

Honestly, Willowclaw couldn't tell. However, she quickly figured that this cat had to be from NightClan because who else would be prowling around and spying on leaders. She quickly whispered, "It has to be. I see no other explanation for a cat to be spying on us like this."

"Me neither," Snakestar murmured back. "We should leave, before they see us." The silver tabby tom began to back away, carefully laying his paws on the forest floor. He was out of sight in a few seconds.

The silver tabby turned and followed her leader into the dark shadows, she too stepped lightly. But, Willowclaw couldn't help asking, "But... Shouldn't we fight? It's part of the warrior code to defend one's territory." She padded up to Snakestar's side to hear an answer.

Snakestar turned to Willowclaw and rolled his eyes. "Willow, there's several of them, and each with several lives. How would we kill them?" The tom paused, and spoke in a whisper. "I'm sorry, but attacking would be suicide."

Willowclaw shrank back and slowed her pace to swerve behind Snakestar. "Oh, I could only sense one though." she added barely loud enough for him to hear it. The warrior's ears went flat in embarrassment.

"I saw two earlier... There's Earthheart! Let's go warn her. It's dangerous to be out alone in this forest." Snakestar raced off into the forest.

(((((A very long time later)))))
As soon as Spottedstorm got out of camp she raced as fast as she could to the pines, not looking to see if Flickerstep and Wolfbane were behind her. As soon as she got there she stopped, turned around and sat calmly licking her paw. When Flickerstep burst through the trees, followed by Wolfbane, Spottedstorm said "Took you long enough" good humoredly. "Alright, lets split up, but stay within yowling distance. It's not safe in the woods now." With that said she stalked into the trees. She opened her mouth and scented the air. Nothing. She creeped even quieter about 15 foxlengths, then scented the air. Rabbit! She froze then looked for it. There it was, about a foxlenght or so away frozen in terror. Spottedstorm didn't have time for pity. She leaped and landed right on it, she pulled it to her and bit down in it's throat. It gave a kick then was still. Now I'll have something for the elders, she thought. She turned and began to trudge back to the clearing, listening for any other prey. She heard something behind her. Something loud. She turned around to look and dropped her rabbit in terror.
