Name: Violetblossom
Gender: she-cat
Age: 27 moons
Clan: TangleClan
Position: Warrior
Appearance: This mysterious she-cat is a real beauty. Her long silver tabby fur is silky soft and is kept clean. He is slender yet muscular with ivory-white claws and teeth. Her long bushy tail is still slender, like the rest of her frame. She walks lightly, with her paws barely touching the ground. Her stride is so smooth, she seems to float across the ground. Her eyes are her most unique and striking feature. They are crystalline indigo. The color is more violet than blue, but when she is depressed or angry, the blue in them becomes more prominent.
In battle, Violetblossom’s silver fur fluffs out to make her seem much larger. Her indigo eyes burn dark blue and she seems fearless. Her ivory claws gleam as she becomes a formidable fighting force. She is not as helpless as her slight frame and soft fur suggests.
Personality: Violetblossom is mysterious and aloof, which confuses any suitors who are entranced by her beauty. She seems anaware of her affect on toms and has no trace of vanity. She is sassy and independent and her tongue is sharper than her claws, and that is saying something. However, those close to her know that she is truly a kind and caring friend. She is loving and cares more about her Clan and her friends than she cares about herself. Her temper is extremely long, and thought she may comment insultingly, she never loses her temper. The only time she gets angry is in battle. She is very outgoing, but never in a romantic way. If she were more flirty, she would have certainly had kits by now. Unfortunately for the toms, she gets a secret pleasure out of frustrating them in their pursuits.
Her level of skill as a warrior is very high. The agility that fills her movements make her an efficient hunter and make her difficult to detect as a scout or ambusher. Her speed and ferocity also make her a deadly foe to prey and enemy cats. These skills and her patience make her an ideal mentor.
History: Violetblossom’s mother was a TangleClan cat named Junipertail. She was a plain looking gray she-cat who was kind and much-loved by her Clan. One day in late spring a few seasons ago, she was out admiring the new blossoms, as she was wont to do. An infamous rogue named Deadblood hid in a clump of holly bushes, unbeknownst to Junipertail. As she passed by his hiding place, an evil grin contorted his features. He leaped out of the bushes before she could react and forcebred her. She yowled as loudly as she could, but Deadblood was gone before the Clan could arrive. He stayed hidden for many moons afterward. Junipertail could never gather enough courage to tell anyone what had happened. Instead, she said she was attacked by a loner and managed to drive him off. She soon discovered that she was pregnant, but she kept her pregnancy a secret for as long as she could, but such things cannot stay hidden for long. When her stomach began to bulge, she pretended that she had intended to be pregnant, but decided not to reveal to father. The pregnancy went as planned until the kitting. Something went terribly wrong and Junipertail didn’t survive. When her only kit, Violetkit, was born, a star flew across the sky. Junipertail’s eyes were glittering as she mewed, “Behold a miracle, for something beautiful has arisen from something terrible. Her name is Violetkit. May StarClan light her path.” None knew what she meant, but she died moments later. The kit was raised by a queen named Seaheart, who was her aunt and Junipertail’s sister. Violetblossom loved Seaheart like her mother. When she was 6 moons, she was apprenticed to a tom named Redstripe. At 13 moons, there was a battle between TangleClan and FireClan. Violetpaw fought and defeated the FireClan deputy and was made a warrior soon after. At her 17th moon, she was made a mentor. Her apprentice was killed by Violetblossom’s father, Deadblood, six moons later. He then told her that he was her father. It took her a while, but she eventually came to accept it. In her 20th moon, she was given another apprentice. This apprentice was made a warrior seven moons later. When Violetblossom was 26 moons, the leader of her Clan vanished and the deputy was made leader. They picked Violetblossom as deputy. She has been the deputy ever since.
IC: It was a cloudy, starless night. The moon was a shy sliver orb, half hidden in to shadows of the night sky. The light from the moon shone silver on the forest below; where all was still, save for the insistent hoot of an owl. On the forest floor, all was hidden, shrouded in shadow. The faint breeze rustled the dry leaves that were left from leaf-fall, breaking the stillness, but as the wind died down, the stillness reclaimed the forest. Peeking out from behind a cloud, the moon illuminated the forest for a moment before the clouds ambushed it again. In that single moment of light, a pair of acid-green feline eyes became visible, only to be hidden in the shadows as the light dimmed. A few tail-lengths away, a lithe figure wove its way silently through the trees, its crystalline indigo eyes darting from side to side, alert for every movement. As the moon appeared again for a few seconds, he figure was bathed in moonlight. It was a silver tabby she-cat. Her fur glowed in the brilliance of the moon. She froze as she saw the glimmer of green in the shadows of a tree. The reek of blood became apparent to her, as well as the scent of her apprentice.
No, StarClan, no, she thought in horror. The sight of her apprentice’s lifeless body hit her like a physical blow. The darkness returned to the forest and the forest went black, even to her feline eyes. When the moon returned, the eyes were gone, as if they had never been there.
“Hello, daughter,” a masculine voice hissed from all around her. The trees caused an echo that made the source hard to locate. The she-cat stopped in her tracks, hate and confusion in her eyes. Daughter?! It was not true! She looked up to the moon and saw the silhouette of a large brown tabby standing on a fallen log. The eyes were the only part of the tom clearly visible.
“Yes, Violetblossom, I am your father. You hate me for it no doubt, but don’t get any ideas into your head about revenge. You’ll never catch me, Violetblossom. But one day, I may catch you.”
The moon was masked again and Violetblossom leaped towards the tabby, claws outstretched. Unfortunately, as the light returned, she realized that the cat had once again vanished.
“I will get you someday, Deadblood!” she yowled to the empty forest. Sprinkles started to fall, quickly becoming a downpour.
