Snakestar led the group of his Clan that had survived the city into their new camp and looked around. Good. It was a small sandy island near one edge of a wide river. Trees sheltered them from the harsh wind. But was something that looked like an old badger den near the edge of the camp. The silver-brown tabby tomcat sniffed at it. No trace of scent remained. This would be a good camp for his Clan.

Poisonleaf followed Snakestar into the sandy clearing. She dropped the mouthful of herbs that were in her mouth and meowed to her leader, "Is this going to be our new camp?"

"Great StarClan, I hope it is," mewed Shiningstream. With her five kits following her, she padded up beside her leader, bowing her head. "Snakestar, I'm sorry that I haven't helped much during these rough moons." It was true what Shiningstream was saying. She was CreekClan's deputy, but she had been busy being a mother, and she wasn't sorry for that. "But Rainkit is near apprenticing."

Icewhisker followed the last of Shinningstream's kits. She then smiled and meowed to Shinningstream, "That's terrific!" she then added, "If no one else is willing I can be Rainkit's mentor."

"Oh, yes." meowed Poisonleaf happily, "Some great news!"

Snakestar purred happily. His Clan was safe. They seemed to like their new home, and that was good, too. They would not move from here. This would be their new home.
"Yes, Icewhisker, you may be Rainkit's mentor," he said, before walking away across the clearing to find a place to make a den.

Shiningstream purred happily, leaning down and giving her foster daughter a gentle lick over the head. "Thank you, Icewhisker," she murmured, before gathering her kits with a flick of her tail. Snakestar was right; they did have a beautiful camp. Next, was--
"Mother!" Skykit squeaked restlessly. "Can we please stop? I can't feel my paws anymore, they're so tired." Shiningstream snorted light-heartedly. Her son would not be the typical easy apprentice. He was brash, rude, even rebellious of StarClan. She would need to make sure Snakestar gave him a firm mentor.

Icewhisker nodded thankfully to Snakestar. She then turned to Shiningstream and meowed, "If it is ok, I can entertain your kits while you find a nice place for a nursery." She then lifted Skykit onto her back.

Poisonleaf winked at Icewhisker, the small black cat meowed in mock astonishment "Wow! Skykit, you got tall! You're taller than even me."

Rainkit had her brother on her back and padded into the new camp after her father. "Woah! This is amazing!" She swiveled and looked at the view of the lake. Her cracked and bleeding paws were soothed by the coolness of the underbrush and she set Twilightkit next to his other siblings. The kit then padded to her mother's side. "Mum? I was... erm... wondering if I would be made an apprentice soon..." Rainkit leaned against her mother warmly.

Shiningstream nodded to Icewhisker, sweeping her tail over Skykit's nose in a warning. "You mind your manners around a warrior." As she left her kits in the care of the she-cat, Shiningstream circled the island a few times, observing where possible dens could be, places where dens could be reformed or made by the reeds and brances. On the far side of the clearing near a large pine tree was a massive boulder, upturned from the ground somehow. The blue-gray tortoiseshell slipped through the large cracks, feeling the sandy ground and the sturdy stone walls.
The deputy padded outside where the rest of the Clan had gathered. "I've found a possible nursery." Just as she was going to rally her kits together, Rainkit siddled up to her side, brushing her fur. Rainkit was six moons already? Great StarClan, how time just flew away! Whether Rainkit was her adopted daughter or not, Shiningstream cared for her, and decided to make it just as special to know that she would be an apprentice before her brothers and sisters. "Ah, yes, your apprentice ceremony. I'll talk to Snakestar as soon as we get the dens and the territory sorted out. You'll be the first apprentice made in our new home."

Unsheathed claws clicked against the soft, sandy ground as the scarred form padded after her Clan. Her pawsteps made a gentle, rythmical sound as each pad hit the ground with clear determination. A shaft of light caught her pelt, making it shine; making her scars dissapear for a few split-seconds. Her long tail was in the air, elegently curling at the end. A scraping broke through the peaceful silence as the she-cat's claws dug into the bark of a fallen tree.
Eyes the colour of the sky gazed ahead into the new camp. A hard, defensive shield was clear within them, which hid, pain and grief at the loss of loved ones. " Oh, Foxfur, Hopeheart." Three words were uttered softly, sadly, her defenses shaken slightly. The bodies of her aunt and twin brother had been buried in the original camp, which the rogues had taken over. As the thought passed, she shook her head slightly. Entering the cmap, her mouth curved slowly into a smile. Flickerstep's smile widened, till she was grinning with joy. " Wow." The she-cat breathed.

Poisonleaf padded into the camp and explored, hunting for a good den that would serve as a Medicine cat den.

Icewhisker then leaped over to where Shiningstream's other kits were with Skykit on her back. "Who wants a ride on my back?" she meowed to the kits.

Earthheart padded into the badger den warily, scenting the air. But no scent remained, and it was cool and dim inside. Returning to the entrance, she called Poisonleaf and Snakestar. It was just outside the camp, but ferns shaded the entrance, and roots from a large oak tree broke into the tunnel, giving needed light. She would have to discuss her idea with Snakestar and Poisonleaf first, though.
